Ellie Grace Volk

 Right after Christmas 2007, Ellie was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor, which is kidney cancer. She was 2-years-old. Within a week, she had the tumor and her right kidney removed. She then had radiation and 6 months of chemo. Since then we've been on the road to recovery. We've had a few bumps along the way, including an emergency surgery to remove 18 inches of her small intestine, but, for the most part, she has had a wonderful recovery.
